Project Management

We are specialists in project management and co-ordination in the commercial and residential sectors. We handle the contract administration and prepare the Schedules of Work and Specifications for both general building works and repairs.

Valuations

These are different from surveys, and are produced specifically to check that a property is valued correctly. The two main types are Mortgage Valuation and Private Valuation.

Building Surveys

Our chartered status allows us to undertake pre-acquisition surveys on both residential and commercial premises. Types of survey include Building Surveys (formally known as full structural surveys) and RICS Homebuyer Reports. A residential valuation can also be included with all our residential pre-acquisition reports. We also provide specific defect reports on structural movement (subsidence), timber defects, damp and condensation problems.

Dilapidations

Our surveyors offer expert advice on all aspects of dilapidations and negotiation of schedules on behalf of landlords and tenants. We also provide pre-lease advice to tenants and landlords and can prepare schedules of condition for inclusion in the lease. The schedule of condition is used to protect the tenant's position regarding their repair liability at the end of the lease.

Insurance Surveying

The partners and associates have many years experience and vast knowledge in handling complex property related insurance claims as loss adjustors and as external consultants. With the ever increasing demands on the loss adjusting industry we are here to provide a bespoke client focused surveying service for brokers, policyholders and insurers.

Subsidence

In building terms subsidence is uneven downwards movement of a structure's foundation. In the South East and London regions most subsidence problems are caused by either tree root exacerbated clay shrinkage or a leaking drain or sometimes even a combination of both. Over 75% of subsidence insurance claims in the South East and London involve tree root exacerbated clay shrinkage.

Party Wall Advice

We are experts in dealing with a full range of party wall matters. As party wall surveyors we can act for the building owner, adjoining owner in preparation of awards under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. We are often also appointed as Third Surveyor under the Act.
